Civil Engineering

The Civil and Environmental engineers at FMA are devoted to the improvement of the human environment, to making our activities productive, safe, and enjoyable, and our surroundings aesthetically pleasing. The profession contributes directly to humanity's continued health and well-being by the planning and design of systems that provide public land-water-air transportation; bountiful supplies of clean drinking water; management and control of our waste streams; flood control; housing and other structures; and recreational parks and facilities.

FMA provides Civil Site services for public and private developments and re-developments throughout the Southeast. FMA has extensive service experience in the area of site development, which refers to projects where design and planning are more elaborate than just a single building. We have completed this type of infrastructure development for state universities, hospitals, commercial office parks, retail centers, recreational parks, and numerous industrial parks and facilities. The types of planning and design involved may include water, sewer, storm water, grading, erosion control, roads, parking lots, detention and retention ponds, and flood studies.
